Salary:
- TA Grade E £25,183 pro-rata (£13.05 per hour)
- MDSA Grade B £23,656 pro-rata (£12.26 per hour)
Hours of work: This post is for 19 hours 30 minutes in total to be worked across 5 mornings/lunchtime sessions per week as follows:
- 12 hours in the Teaching Assistant role (Grade E)
- 7 hours 30 minutes as MDSA (Grade B)
Contract type: Specific Purpose, Term Time Only (38 weeks per year)
A bit about us:
Urchfont Primary is a thriving village school set in the beautiful village of Urchfont, near Devizes, Wiltshire. The school is at the centre of a vibrant community, with a highly committed staff and a dedicated governing body. As part of the Salisbury Diocese we have active links with the church.
The School is in process of joining EQUA-Mead Learning Trust and it is intended that we will have transferred by September 2025.
All about the role:
We are looking for aOne to One Teaching Assistant to join the staff team at Urchfont CE Primary School as soon as possible. While this post will be associated with an individual named pupil, you may at any time be required to work with any pupil within the school.

- Is flexible and able to work collaboratively with other members of staff
- Is an excellent communicator committed to being part of an effective team within the whole school community
- Is patient and understanding when working with children
- Is self-motivated and reliable
- Has excellent behaviour management skills
- Has a willingness to undertake training
- Is enthusiastic with a good sense of humour
Ideally, you will also have some experience of working with a pupil with complex needs but training will be given if not.
